About Us

Who are we?

Here at the Bella Vista Newsroom, it is our mission to make sure that the students of our school remain informed about school events and that our students are recognized for their achievements inside and outside of the classroom. The paper was founded in August 2020 to cover Bella Vista sports, news, the arts, and student opinion. Interviews were conducted with teachers and students to showcase their stories, and those articles captured the unstable times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The original paper ran strong from 2020-2023, but was not active from May 2023 to August 2025.

We're not exactly sure what happened that made the paper inactive for so long. It is likely that simply not enough people joined to balance out the amount of seniors graduating. But we recently came to the realization that our school did not have a newspaper and felt motivated to create one- but as we just outlined, we already had one!

So, this new BV Newsroom's mission is to take on the old one's mantle and do everything it did- but even better! We will be posting about 3 articles a week that will span various topics- school news, club news, athletics news, student/teacher news, and opinion articles. We also included a link to the old BV Newsroom website so you can take a look at all of their hard work as well.

Happy reading, the BV Newsroom team
